IEC 60050-802:2011 defines terms specifically relevant to ultrasonics for inclusion in a new part of the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary. This horizontal standard is primarily intended for use by technical committees in the preparation of standards in accordance with the principles laid down in IEC Guide 108. In this part of IEV, the terms and definitions are written in French and English; in addition the terms are given in Arabic (ar), German (de), Spanish (es), Italian (it), Japanese (ja), Polish (pl), Portuguese (pt) and Chinese (zh).
