本规范适用于主要用于放映的胶片。如果由于刮擦而使膜端加宽，则应去除额外的宽度。应防止在拼接处切割或包括穿孔。建议使用斜面拼接。还规定了带有磁条的薄膜的拼接方式。

The specifications apply to film which is primarily intended for projection. If the film ends have been widened due to scraping, the extra width shall be removed. Cutting into or including a perforation in the splice shall be prevented. Bevelled splices are recommended. Also specified is the way film with magnetic stripes is spliced.
