ISO 5263-2:2004规定了实验室湿法崩解未出现延迟的机械浆或已消除延迟的纸浆的装置和程序。在处理纸浆的许多其他国际标准中，制备试样时需要使用该仪器和程序。原则上，该方法适用于所有类型的无延迟机械浆（即机械浆、半化学浆和化学机械浆），包括从机械浆中回收的纤维。它不适用于具有ISO 5263中所述崩解程序的延迟的机械浆-应使用3。ISO 5263-2:2004规定的程序也应用于分解所有要测量白度的机械浆。

ISO 5263-2:2004 specifies an apparatus and the procedures for the laboratory-wet disintegration of mechanical pulps that do not exhibit latency or pulps where latency has already been removed. This apparatus and procedure are required for preparation of the test portion in a number of other International Standards dealing with pulps.In principle, this method is applicable to all kind of mechanical pulps (i.e. mechanical, semi-chemical and chemo-mechanical pulps) that do not exhibit latency, including recovered fibres from mechanical pulps. It is not suitable for mechanical pulps exhibiting latency for which the disintegration procedure described in ISO 5263-3 shall be used.The procedure specified by ISO 5263-2:2004 should also be used to disintegrate all mechanical pulps to be measured for brightness.
