本技术规范的编制目的如下:_促进ISO 6743-8的应用，并规定在为给定的应用程序建立规范；_使这些特性成为最终用户和供应商之间讨论的基础。本技术规范不包括具体要求，这些要求应单独使用查看最终用户和产品供应商之间的通用协议。本技术规范不包括健康、安全、处置和环境领域，应根据每个国家现行的法规或法律，分别进行深入研究。

This Technical Specification has been prepared with the following purposes:_ to facilitate the application of ISO 6743-8 and to specify the characteristics to be taken into account whenestablishing specifications for a given application;_ to enable these characteristics to serve as a basis for discussion between the end user and the supplier.This Technical Specification does not cover specific requirements which should be examined separately with aview to a common agreement between the end user and the product supplier.This Technical Specification does not cover the health, safety, disposal and environment areas which should bedelft with separately, according to the regulations or laws in force in each country.
