ISO 2781:2008规定了两种测定固体硫化橡胶和热塑性橡胶密度的试验方法。此类测定对于控制橡胶化合物的质量和计算生产给定体积材料所需的橡胶质量非常重要。本标准不包括测定橡胶的相对密度，即在给定温度下，给定体积橡胶的质量与等体积纯水的质量之比。

ISO 2781:2008 specifies two methods of test for the determination of the density of solid vulcanized and thermoplastic rubbers.Such determinations are of importance in the control of the quality of a rubber compound and in the calculation of the mass of rubber required to produce a given volume of material.The standard does not cover the determination of the relative density of rubber, which is the ratio of the mass of a given volume of rubber to the mass of an equal volume of pure water at a given temperature.
