ISO 6932:2008适用于最大碳质量分数为0.25%的冷还原碳钢带，其公差比冷还原碳钢板更接近两个级别，具有特定质量、特定硬度要求或机械性能、特定边缘和特定光洁度。ISO 6932:2008不适用于窄宽度产品，即从较宽宽度（ISO 3574）切出的冷还原碳钢板，也不包括碳质量分数超过0.25%（ISO 4960）的冷还原碳钢带。

ISO 6932:2008 applies to cold-reduced carbon steel strip with a maximum mass fraction of carbon of 0,25 %, furnished to two levels of closer tolerances than cold-reduced carbon steel sheet, with specific quality, specific hardness requirements or mechanical properties, specific edge and specific finish.ISO 6932:2008 does not apply to the product in narrow widths known as cold-reduced carbon steel sheet slit from wider widths (ISO 3574), nor does it include cold-reduced carbon steel strip with a mass fraction of carbon over 0,25 % (ISO 4960).
