ISO 7617的本部分规定了室内用软垫家具涂层织物的技术要求，通过在纬编基布的一侧涂覆一层基本连续的适当厚度的涂层而获得氯乙烯的增塑聚合物，或主要成分为氯乙烯的共聚物。这种涂料被称为聚氯乙烯（PVC）涂料。本规范涵盖涂有固体PVC的织物还包括两个等级，涂层由一层膨胀PVC组成。

This part of ISO 7617 specifies technical requirements for coated fabrics for upholstered furniture for interior use,obtained by applying to one side of a weft-knitted base cloth a substantially continuous coating of a suitablyplasticized polymer of vinyl chloride, or a copolymer the major constituent of which is vinyl chloride. Such coatingsare known as poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) coatings. The present specification covers fabrics coated with solid PVCand also covers two grades with coatings consisting of a layer of expanded PVC.
