ISO 22644:2006规定了用于在空间机构之间传输航天器轨道信息的两种标准报文格式:轨道参数报文（OPM）和轨道星历报文（OEM）。此类交换用于用于跟踪或导航支持的飞行前计划；调度跟踪支持；执行跟踪操作(有时称为度量预测)；执行轨道比较；进行轨道传播等导航操作。ISO 22644:2006包括消息格式旨在满足的一组要求和标准。对于这些要求不能满足参与机构需求的交易所，可以选择另一种机制。

ISO 22644:2006 specifies two standard message formats for use in transferring spacecraft orbit information between space Agencies: the Orbit Parameter Message (OPM) and the Orbit Ephemeris Message (OEM). Such exchanges are used for

• pre-flight planning for tracking or navigation support;
• scheduling tracking support;
• carrying out tracking operations (sometimes called metric predicts);
• performing orbit comparisons;
• carrying out navigation operations such as orbit propagation.

ISO 22644:2006 includes sets of requirements and criteria that the message formats have been designed to meet. For exchanges where these requirements do not capture the needs of the participating Agencies, another mechanism may be selected.
