本方法适用于铝及铝合金中铁含量在0.05%至2.5%之间的测定。该方法不完全适用于非合金铝、铝硅合金和任何其他不易被盐酸腐蚀的铝合金（见附录A）以及含有铜、锌和镍的合金（见附录B）。

The method is applicable to the determination of iron content between 0,05 and 2,5 % in aluminium and aluminium alloys. The method does not apply completely to unalloyed aluminium, aluminium-silicon alloys and any other aluminium alloy that is not easily attacked with hydrochloric acid (see annex A) and alloys containing copper, zinc and nickel (see annex B).
